San Francisco Engagement Photos

I cannot imagine shooting a cuter couple than Andrew and Maggie. Set against the backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco at Golden Hour, these two lovebirds had a magical spark from the first moment I saw them. We started the shoot at the bridge to make sure we got the photos they needed for their invite and wedding website, and then got a big goofy towards the end. Loved every moment!

Senior Portraits

It’s time for Senior Portraits and honestly this may be my favorite kind of shoot at the moment. As a mom of three grown kids I know what it’s like to capture them in this moment in time and give them memories that they and their parents will treasure forever.

We pick the location that we both agree on and the kids bring at least 3 outfits: one super casual because I have them sitting on the ground (jeans or shorts and tank for girls, jeans and regular t-shirt or polo for boys), one more fun outfit (colorful button-down with a jacket for boys or flirty sundress for girls), and then anything else they choose. Girls have been doing long boho dresses which I love, and often times boys will bring a sports jersey or something that is meaningful.

Take a look at Grace below. She is a natural beauty and needed very little direction. If you want an editorial type shoot for senior portraits get in touch. I am almost booked for 2022 seniors!

Not Just a Pretty Picture

I have a sticky note on my computer that reads, Emotion over Technique, Gesture over Pose. It’s there to remind me that an imperfect photo that has life in it is much better than a technically sound photo that has no emotion. I encourage you to read through this blog post, because like me, I am sure you love these kids of photos too!
